HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a series of fun and creative Spirit Fridays! Each week, students are invited to participate by dressing according to the theme as we celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic communities around the world. Through these fun Spirit Fridays, we'll celebrate diversity, learn from one another, and show our school spirit together!

September 18: Exploring Magical Places
Dress as an explorer or tourist ready for an adventure!

September 25: Incredible Animals
Show off your favorite animal with ears, tails, animal-print clothing, or themed shirts.

October 2: Fun Instruments
Dress as your favorite musician or celebrate the joy of music.

October 9: Traditions Around the World
Share your culture by wearing traditional attire, accessories, hats, or clothing that represents your heritage.

October 16: Color Celebration
Choose a country's flag and wear its colors with pride!

PTA GARDENING DAY
Come out and help make Southwest beautiful on Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM! Please park in the front lot as the back lot will be closed for paving work.

Volunteers will assist with:

• Weeding and garden bed preparation

• Litter and trash cleanup

• Shrub pruning

• Maintenance of our outdoor learning space

If you have any of the following items, please bring them along to support our efforts:

• Work gloves

• Trash bags

• Wheelbarrows

• Shovels

Your time and helping hands will make a big difference as we work together to keep our campus looking its best. We hope to see you next Saturday!

A.L.A.S. MEETING
